Create and Showcase Content

In this program, offered by Pacific's Art, Media, Performance and Design Department, students will gain the knowledge and skill sets needed to create videos for social media and future ambitions in filmmaking/videography.

Students will develop their cinematic aesthetics through the storytelling medium. We will engage in practical on- field production practices and workflows used in the entertainment industry at large. At the end of the workshop, students will produce a 1-3 minute videos showcasing their skills. The program concludes by students presenting and showcasing their videos to their friends and families.

Curriculum

Students will gain exposure in professional film and media practices in a collaborative and dynamic creative environment. Students will learn the below topics:

Students will discuss and analyze emerging trends in advertising and storytelling for social media and gain insights and knowledge in working with clients in the film, advertising and entertainment industries.

Paul is a film and video producer and director who has made written, directed, produced and edited a feature-length film and five short films and served as a cinematographer on several other projects. He has taught film and video production at University of the Pacific, CSU-Sacramento and Delta College.
