It's never too early to start thinking about your career

Career Services is here to support you in developing and achieving your career goals. Our services offer career advising, job and internship help, resume and cover letter writing help, and graduate school planning. If you are not sure what you want to major in, our career assessments can help you learn more about your interests, personality type, and careers that are best suited for you.

Make an appointment with us as soon as your first day at Pacific. Our Tigers on Pace program is a four-year plan that allows you to pursue options and be prepared for graduation. However, you can begin this plan at any point.

You do not need certain eligibility for jobs, shadowing or internships. We will help you connect with employers as soon as you are ready. Even our alumni can receive free career services for life. As soon as you are ready to start talking about your career, we are ready to support you.

Events we regularly host include:

  • Job & Internship Fair
  • On-campus Job Fair
  • Practice interviews with employers
  • Workshops on resumes, cover letters, networking, and more

Major: Mechanical Engineering

I got a job with Lockheed Martin in the aeronautics division as a Flight Test Control Engineer. Career Services helped me improve my resume skills and learn how to improve my elevator pitch when I went to SWE conferences.

Major: Political Science

I'm going to serve as Team Leader for AmeriCorps NCCC's Summer of Service in the North Central Region of the United States. I'll be in charge of a team of up to 12 servicemembers, working with the government and local non-profits to complete projects that help our country's underserved and underrepresented communities. Once this term of service is over, I'll be be attending UC Irvine, where I've been accepted into their Master of Public Policy program.

Career Services was instrumental in providing me with the constructive criticism necessary to craft a resume capable of being accepted into UC Irvine and AmeriCorps NCCC. Career Services' interview guidance was incredibly helpful both for my interviews with both organizations.
