Kelly Richmond-Moore (she/they), DSW, LCSW, PPSC, is the Assistant Program Director and Assistant Clinical Professor in the Master of Social Work program. Dr. Richmond-Moore is a licensed clinical social worker with a personnel pupil services credential and extensive experience working in school-based mental health. Dr. Richmond-Moore’s career has focused on working with youth, adolescents and families in community and school-based settings. She also has experience working with first responders and child welfare. Dr. Richmond-Moore is passionate about supporting the LGBTQIA+ community within school-based mental health programs and has supported efforts to increase inclusivity and safety within school districts. Dr. Richmond-Moore has experience working in higher education, including field education. Dr. Richmond-Moore serves on the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), Council on Sexual Orientation Gender Identity and Expression (CSOGIE). As a CSOGIE council member, Dr. Richmond-Moore supports LGBTQIA+ faculty and student mentorship and curriculum development to increase inclusivity and safety for LGBTQIA+ social work faculty, students and communities.

Dr. Richmond-Moore can be found spending time with their wife and children, traveling during the summer months and visiting Disney parks as often as possible.

Education

Dr. Richmond-Moore received her master of social work degree from California State University, Sacramento, and completed her doctoral degree from Simmons University.
