Biography

Prior to joining Pacific McGeorge, Professor Miyashiro had a four-decade career in the public and private sectors, focusing on California finance and budgeting. Within the public sector, Professor Miyashiro served as an analyst with the Legislative Analyst’s Office, a director with the Commission on State Finance, a consultant with the Assembly Ways and Means Committee, and a division director with the Department of Education. Professor Miyashiro ended his public sector career as a Deputy Director of the Department of Finance where he represented the department in legislative hearings on pending legislation and advised the governor on the fiscal impacts of bills requiring his attention.
