Banner 8 upgrade to be completed prior to Banner 9 upgrade
Prior to the pending upgrade to Banner 9, Pacific Technology will be implementing a universitywide upgrade to the Banner 8 modules. This will take place on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018. The upgrade was scheduled for a Saturday to ensure that this change has minimal impact on your business unit.
During the upgrade, between midnight and noon, Banner 8 will be unavailable. The Banner self-service feature (insidePacific) will not be impacted by the changes and will remain available.
This change will enable the Office of Financial Aid to meet an earlier delivery date for financial aid packages and acceptance letters for admitted students, which will help drive next year's enrollment by positioning the university more competitively in the prospective student's decision-making process. This priority warranted the necessity of upgrading Banner 8 prior to the Banner 9 upgrade.
Looking ahead, Pacific Technology will upgrade to Banner 9 on Nov. 10.
