Eberhardt School of Business extends prestigious accreditation

University of the Pacific's Eberhardt School of Business has once again been recognized for its excellence in providing an outstanding educational experience for students by receiving reaccreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

Synonymous with excellence since 1916, AACSB is the longest standing, most recognized global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees in business and accounting.

"AACSB accreditation reaffirms that Pacific graduates and alumni are prepared to lead in today's competitive, global business environment," said Tim Carroll, dean of the Eberhardt School of Business. "We are delighted that our peers have recognized the quality, innovation and engaging environment that characterize our business programs."

Pacific is one of only 836 accredited business schools worldwide. To earn and sustain the AACSB accreditation, an institution must demonstrate high standards that focus on mission and strategic management; support for students, faculty and staff; learning and teaching; and academic and professional engagement of students and faculty.

"Pacific is a leader in providing high quality academic programs that prepare students for their future in the business world," said Maria Pallavicini, Pacific's provost and executive vice president for academic affairs. "Hands-on learning opportunities such as our student-management investment fund, the active faculty scholarship and mentoring activities were all cited as examples of the great work the Eberhardt School of Business is doing to prepare our students."

The Eberhardt School of Business offers a Master of Accounting, Bachelor of Science in business administration, Bachelor of Science in accounting, and minors in management, business administration and information systems. With an emphasis on interactive classes and student-faculty engagement, the program is committed to developing successful future business leaders through a learning process that is personal, relevant, and professional.
