The University of the Pacific community — including students, faculty, staff, administrators, and alumni — believes that diversity and inclusion are essential to the fulfillment of our institutional mission. We value inclusiveness in learning, curricular and co-curricular programming, campus climate, recruitment, admissions, hiring and retention.

The McGeorge School of Law campus in residential Sacramento fosters a vibrant, supportive and welcoming community, which celebrates the many definitions of diversity in our student body and community. McGeorge School of Law was recognized as one of the nation’s most diverse law schools in the Winter 2023 issue of preLaw Magazine.

Center for Inclusion and Diversity (CID)

The Sacramento Campus Center for Inclusion and Diversity (CID) is a drop-in space located upstairs in the Student Center. The Center is open to all students and is staffed by peer volunteers. Students are encouraged to explore the center for kinship and support. Programming from the Center seeks to build community, foster understanding on issues of diversity, and promote an atmosphere of inclusion for all members of the Sacramento campus.

Unity Caucus

The Unity Caucus is dedicated to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion by fostering relations between minority organizations and addressing common academic, professional, and political issues affecting minority students at McGeorge. Its main goal is to promote diversity on campus, in the legal profession, and create a more inclusive environment. The Caucus supports and amplifies the work of affinity clubs and organizations. Members are actively engaged in the Diversity Affairs Committee. Notable activities include tutoring sessions hosted in the Center for Inclusion and Diversity and the Unity Graduation Celebration, recognizing the accomplishments of diverse students.
