In May 2023, we celebrated 158 PharmD and six Pharmaceutical and Chemical Sciences Program graduates during our commencement events.

Our faculty and students work diligently to optimize patient outcomes. Research
A prime example of the synergy of knowledge and application is research. This year was a banner year for securing grant funding to support research and health care outreach, including two National Institutes of Health grants. The teamwork on display in our research labs propels discoveries and scientific breakthroughs.
Mamoun M. Alhamadsheh, PhD, professor of pharmaceutics and medicinal chemistry, received a $1.7 million R01 NIH grant to study a more potent and longer lasting antidote for opioid overdoses.
Over $3 million in grants
Carlos A. Villalba-Galea, PhD, associate professor of physiology and pharmacology, received a $364,250 R21 NIH grant to investigate the interaction of three proteins involved in electrical signaling in neurons and the heart.
